Match Requirement Achieved!
The ODOT grant for the proposed Pine to Upton project required a matching amount of $190,000 be raised amongst the local community. Without this community match the grant and project will be lost. The Bear Creek Greenway Foundation is proud to announce that we have reached our goal. Thanks so much to all our contributors. A list can be found here.
17 miles of continuous trail . . .
In 2011 the Bear Creek Greenway proudly announced the completion of 17 miles of continuous trail. Area residents and visitors can ride or walk on a complete trail between the dog park in Ashland to Pine Street in Central Point.
The next project
Slated for 2013/2014 is a 1.4 mile section of trail between Pine St. and Upton Road in Central Point near the Expo. Currently, a $1.7 million grant has been secured from the ODOT Transportation Enhancements program!
Thanks to all those who helped make this project a reality.
